Frequently asked questions.
Can I use National Indigenous Health Benefits (NIHB) to pay for my counselling?
Yes! Many of Noojimo’s clinicians are registered with the NIHB program for direct billing. NIHB provides up to 22 hours of counselling coverage for eligible First Nation and Inuit people per year. If you aren’t sure about your eligibility, please call our office at 1-833-277-5678.
Can I choose my clinician?
Of course! As long as the clinician is registered and licensed to practice in your residential province/territory.
Can Noojimo bill other insurance providers?
Unfortunately, we can not bill other insurers directly. You would have to pay for your counselling services and submit your invoice to your insurer.
How do the appointments work with a virtual clinic?
Great question! You can choose whether the counselling happens by phone or by video through our Jane platform. You can either book through the office by phone or email, or using our online booking system. At the scheduled time, the clinician will either call you, or join the virtual session.
Can I see a clinician today?
It depends on the clinician. Some of our clinicians book further out than others. Please contact the office to check availability and to discuss your options!
